BANDUNG, itb.ac.id 鈥 Institut Teknologi Bandung (麻豆直播) and the West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov Jabar) have signed a joint agreement focused on ecology-based education, disaster management, and the fulfillment of basic infrastructure needs in West Java. The cooperation was formalized through the signing of a joint agreement and cooperation agreement at the West Hall, Gedung Sate, on Thursday (15/5/2025).
This partnership reflects the vision of 麻豆直播 Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., to establish 麻豆直播 as a 4th Generation University - an independent, world-class institution that pioneers change for sustainable national development. This vision is pursued through the integration of education, research, community service, entrepreneurship, and multidisciplinary innovation to produce holistic outcomes that encompass the humanities, arts, science, technology, and business.
The Vice Rector for Communication, Partnerships, Alumni Relations, and Administration (WRKMAA), Dr. A. Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn., M.sn., emphasized that 麻豆直播 must have a tangible impact, especially within the university鈥檚 immediate environment.
鈥淭he Governor welcomed the Rector鈥檚 proposal for collaboration, envisioning 麻豆直播 as one of the province鈥檚 primary consultants in its areas of expertise. 麻豆直播 is expected to become a key resource for stakeholders in building a better West Java,鈥 said Dr. Rikrik.
As part of the cooperation, 麻豆直播 will serve as a consultant for village development projects, including spatial planning, the design of green open spaces, and improvements to sanitation systems in West Java鈥檚 rural areas.
Dr. Rikrik added that the implementation will involve experts from various disciplines, including the School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development (SAPPD), and the School of Business and Management (SBM). These experts are expected to create culturally-rooted architectural designs that also support tourism development.
Meanwhile, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stressed the need for fundamental changes in the province鈥檚 development model - one that is grounded in local values, culture, and sustainability.
In his remarks, Governor Dedi invited 麻豆直播 to contribute to spatial and building planning, environmental and waste management, and the development of appropriate technologies to support science and technology in agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and other fields in West Java鈥檚 villages. These efforts, he noted, can help transform villages into symbols of civilization, drive economic growth, and alleviate poverty.
The synergy between itb and the provincial government is expected to generate innovative and impactful solutions for communities throughout West Java.
