No. 391/IT1.B03.2/HM/2023

22 Mei 2023

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id—Institut Teknologi Bandung (Â鶹ֱ²¥) has committed to the development of a multicampus, one of which being in itb Cirebon Campus. As a form of this commitment, Â鶹ֱ²¥ always cooperates with various parties, especially with the West Java Provincial Government.

In partnership with the West Java Provincial Government, Â鶹ֱ²¥ will build student dormitories and laboratories this year. To realize this, the West Java Provincial Government has provided Regional Grants (NPHD) for the operations and infrastructure of the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus.

In 2023, the West Java Provincial Government made a commitment in the form of a regional grant to Â鶹ֱ²¥. The funds will be allocated for infrastructure development, in the form of student dormitories, lecturer housing and multifunctional building C, operations as well as laboratory development.

The development of this laboratory will be devoted to study programs which currently still have to use the laboratory facilities at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Ganesha Campus. It is hoped that students will no longer need to go to Bandung to carry out practicums or work on their final assignments.

The student dormitories that will be built will prioritize female students, especially for Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus female students who are entering their second year of education at Â鶹ֱ²¥, where their first year of education will be carried out at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatinangor Campus. As is known, starting in 2023, all Â鶹ֱ²¥ new student activities in the first year will be held at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatinangor Campus.

It is hoped that the provision of a female dormitory at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus can help female students adjust to the new environment in Cirebon. It is hoped that this dormitory will be able to accommodate around 200 female students. With this capacity, it is estimated that all second year Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus students can be accommodated in the dormitories.

In addition to building a girls' dormitory, the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus will also build housing for lecturers, especially for lecturers who still have to work at two other campuses to make accommodation easier. In the long term, Â鶹ֱ²¥ has recruited new lecturers specifically to become Â鶹ֱ²¥ Lecturers at the Cirebon campus. As of now, most of them are pursuing further education before they are ready to teach at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus.

The signing ceremony for the Regional Grant Agreement Document (NPHD) between the West Java Provincial Government and the grantees was held at the West Java LPTQ Building on May 11 2023. The signing from the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cirebon Campus was carried out by the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Vice Rector for Finance, Planning, and Development Ir.
