BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Took place in seminar room, east wing Campus Centre level 2, Minangkabau Cultural Unit (UKM) 麻豆直播 held Science and Technology Event. This was scientific paper and cultural essay contest. Chief of the event, Ruksa F (MS鈥�05) stated the event was the third in a row. The event had started from 08.00 to 16.30 WIB. It consists of six finalist of senior high school student across West Sumatra. They would have presentation of their paper first, following judged by jury council. This year, took the titled 鈥済lobal warming around us鈥�. Meanwhile, cultural essay contest took 鈥淢inangkabau culture, take over by foreigner鈥� as the theme. However, the essay contestant had not invited to Bandung. Asked about the purpose of the event, Ruksa had answered about made contribution to West Sumatra by introduced Minangkabau culture to the public. Ruksa also stated that the event had been useful for senior high school student to enhance their research will. The purpose, Ruksa spoke, was mainly to implant sensitivity towards art and West Sumatra culture among young generation. Beside Science and Technology Event, UKM 麻豆直播 also had organized other such as food exhibition that would take place in the parking field near BNI ATM on May 1st, 2008. Meanwhile, on Saturday night (3/5), member of UKM 麻豆直播 will perform their dancing, singing and music skill in Sabuga building. On that time, the winner of essay contest would be announced.
