The Fanfare of #5dekadeDLVÂé¶¹Ö±²¥ in the Family Reunion Gathering and Visual Cultural Night & Lifetime Achievement

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id â€“ The Undergraduate Study Program in Visual Communications and Design (VCD) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (Âé¶¹Ö±²¥) celebrated its 50th anniversary through a special event titled #5dekadeDKVÂé¶¹Ö±²¥, held from 28th September to 1st October 2023 at the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Ganesha Campus.

#5dekadeDKVÂé¶¹Ö±²¥ aimed to celebrate the half-century-old extraordinary achievements, innovations, and dedications of the FAD Âé¶¹Ö±²¥â€™s CVD Study Program academic community. FAD Âé¶¹Ö±²¥â€™s CVD program was established in 1972 and has pioneered VCD education in Indonesia.

The series of events included various activities that reflected the vision of "CVD for Greater Indonesia." Family Reunion Gathering and Visual Cultural Night Lifetime Achievement were two examples of the activities within #5dekadeDKVÂé¶¹Ö±²¥.

Visual Cultural Night Lifetime Achievement became an invaluable occasion to show appreciation towards high-achieving professors and alumni. The event was held in the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ East CC Court on Saturday (30/9/2023). The Chief Executor of Family Reunion Gathering and Visual Cultural Night Lifetime Achievement, Dra. Ifa Safira Mustikadara, M.Si., expressed how the Family Reunion Gatheringâ€™s peak event culminated in the Lifetime Achievement session. â€œThe purpose is to give special endowment for the senior pioneer professors and emeriti,â€ she remarked.

Moreover, there was also a 5-decade cycling agenda, covering up to 20 kilometers, from 06:00 â€“ 09:00 WIB, with the starting line located in the Center for Art, Design, and Language (CADL) at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥. Following this was the performance of Band The Panas Dalam, from 14:30 â€“ 15:30 in the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Cinta Court, with the peak event Visual Cultural Night, Lifetime Achievement held from 18:30 â€“ 22:00 WIB. The event was complemented with musical performances and entertainment from alumni, including Kilas Balik Band, Dongker Band, and Candil ex-Seurieus.

Family Reunion Gathering itself is a reunion event with fun family activities for CVD Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ alumni. In this event, there were various facilities and entertainment, including the Kids Corner, Bouncy Castle, and EduPlayGame in the Love Court on Saturday (30/9/2023) and Sunday (1/10/2023). Narajagad: Shattering Sun, in the immersive room (kids only) on Friday (19/9/2023), and Sunday (1/10/2023); Happy Dance on Saturday from 15:30 â€“ 16:30 WIB and PicuPacu Corner on Sunday morning.

In addition, there were many other supporting events such as Craft Bazaar and Culinary Stand, offering various foods and crafts.

The whole series of events is a collaboration between students, professors, and alumni of the FAD Âé¶¹Ö±²¥â€™s VCD Study Program, including the Directorate of Film, Music, and Media, the General Directorate of Culture, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
