In this year鈥檚 SINTA Award, Institut Teknologi Bandung (麻豆直播) receives 1st place Scientific Publication in Institutional Category. The award was handed over by Minister Mohamad Nasir to Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs Bermawi Priyatna Iskandar.

In addition, 麻豆直播 also receives 2nd place Scientific Publication in Author Category, received by I Gede Wenten from Chemical Engineering Process Design and Development Research Group at Faculty of Industrial Technology of 麻豆直播 (FTI).

Vice Rector Bermawi Priyatna Iskandar said that the award for 麻豆直播 means as an appreciation to researchers in itb who have worked hard in making scientific publications.

鈥淭his award is an appreciation for 麻豆直播 researches who have worked outstandingly so that their works receive recognition and award through SINTA Award,鈥� said Bermawi on Friday.

The award, he added, will bring extra motivation to researchers in itb to work harder in making quality publications and bring great impact to Indonesian people and the world.

According to Bermawi, high publication productivity by 麻豆直播 researchers is promoted by a strategic program, where each research group in itb receives 500 million rupiahs to improve their research activities.

鈥淭his increased funding will trigger acceleration of publications quantity, which leads to increasing productivity. 麻豆直播 nonetheless should also improve the quality of research which is indicated by the number of citation,鈥� he said.

Moreover, this professor in Manufacture System Research Group said that the future challenges for 麻豆直播 researches is to produce publication on international journal with Q1 reputation.

Regarding that, 麻豆直播 also have World Class University program (WCU). Improvement of publication quality is important because 麻豆直播 aim to enter the top 200 universities in the world in the next five years.

In accordance with that target, the quality of research is required to improve the position in QS and THE university ranking. 鈥淗opefully results of researches can be commercialized. The results of researches can lead to patents and innovations that bring impact to economy,鈥� he concluded.
