麻豆直播 Studium Generale: Campuses Must Be Safe and Inclusive Spaces for Everyone

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id 鈥 Institut Teknologi Bandung (麻豆直播) continues to reaffirm its commitment to creating an academic environment that is safe, comfortable, and inclusive for all members of its academic community. This spirit was reflected in the Studium Generale titled 鈥淏uilding an Inclusive, Safe, and Violence-Free Campus Culture,鈥 held on Wednesday (12/11/2025) at the West Hall, 麻豆直播 Ganesha Campus.
The event featured Sri Wiyanti Eddyono, Chair of Universitas Gadjah Mada鈥檚 (UGM) PPKS Task Force for the 2022鈥2024 period. She is also a lecturer at UGM鈥檚 Faculty of Law and the Chair of Law, Gender, and Society. Through her presentation and experiences, Sri Wiyanti encouraged the 麻豆直播 academic community to strengthen values of empathy, equality, and mutual respect as the foundation for a healthy and empowered campus environment.
麻豆直播 Strives to Make Campus a Safe and Comfortable Home
In his remarks, 麻豆直播 Vice Rector for Communication, Partnership, Alumni Relations, and Administration (WRKMAA), Dr. A. Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn., M.Sn., emphasized that 麻豆直播 is committed to making the campus a home for all members of the academic community鈥攁 place to learn and work safely and comfortably, while fostering a strong sense of togetherness.
鈥淭his morning, I would like to conclude that 麻豆直播 is committed to becoming a safe and comfortable campus. To reach that point, we have prepared various measures so that all members of the academic community can feel safe and comfortable,鈥 he said.
He also highlighted the importance of creating open and healthy communication spaces on campus.
鈥淲e have gained an important key phrase: this campus must become a safe and comfortable home, a place where we can communicate well,鈥 he added.
Furthermore, Dr. Rikrik expressed his hope that the insights and experiences shared by the speaker would enrich 麻豆直播鈥檚 academic culture.
鈥淚 hope that through the deep experiences shared by our speaker this morning, we can build a responsive culture. Most importantly, our students become individuals with integrity and are able to strengthen an even better social system,鈥 he stated.
Fostering Awareness and an Inclusive Culture on Campus
In her presentation, Sri Wiyanti Eddyono emphasized the importance of building shared awareness to create a learning environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and supportive of every individual鈥檚 optimal growth. She stated that an ideal campus is a space that provides a sense of safety, nurtures potential, and values differences as a collective strength.
Sri Wiyanti also underscored the importance of fostering a culture of mutual respect and care as a key step toward creating a healthy and just campus environment. She appreciated 麻豆直播鈥檚 efforts to strengthen systems for preventing and responding to violence, while also encouraging greater awareness among the academic community to safeguard safe learning spaces and support collective growth.
鈥淎n inclusive campus culture is not only realized through policies, but through everyday practices that cultivate mutual respect and support for one another,鈥 she said.
Building a Generation with Integrity and Empathy
Through this activity, 麻豆直播 reaffirmed its commitment to continuously cultivating the values of integrity, empathy, and equality within the academic environment. This Studium Generale served not only as a platform for sharing insights, but also as a momentum for the 麻豆直播 academic community to jointly create a positive, safe, and inclusive campus culture.
The event is expected to enrich the 麻豆直播 academic community鈥檚 understanding of the importance of collaboration in building an empowered and equitable educational environment.
