JATINANGOR, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (Â鶹ֱ²¥) hosted Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatifest 2023 at the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatinangor Campus on Saturday, September 2, 2023. With the theme "Green Culture for a Better Future," the event followed the official launch of the Jatinangor Campus as the study center for Joint Preparation Stage (TPB) students.

Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatifest 2023 featured a diverse range of exciting activities from Â鶹ֱ²¥'s student units, performances by singers and artists, and participation from the general public. The event included fun runs, exhibitions, live music shows, community service showcases, fashion shows, video mappings, and more.

The event opened with welcoming remarks from the Rector of Â鶹ֱ²¥, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D. The Rector emphasized that the Jatinangor Campus was established as part of a mandate from the Province of West Java to advance education not only in the region but throughout Indonesia. It was intended to be a valuable resource, and she stated, "This beautiful campus has many purposes Â鶹ֱ²¥ will take advantage of."

Â鶹ֱ²¥ remains committed to actively contributing to the advancement of science, technology, and the arts while nurturing human resources in Indonesia. To fulfill this commitment, Â鶹ֱ²¥ has embarked on several initiatives, including multidisciplinary programs.

Prof. Reini shared three missions that Â鶹ֱ²¥ has undertaken: improving multidisciplinary programs, fostering a culture of excellent research, and expanding Â鶹ֱ²¥'s impact. She affirmed the university's intention to broaden its sphere of influence, enhancing services not only on the Ganesha Campus but also on the Jatinangor, Cirebon, and Jakarta Campuses.

itb Multicampus, as the program is officially known, now operates in four distinct locations: Ganesha, Jatinangor, Cirebon, and Jakarta. This is a tangible embodiment of Â鶹ֱ²¥'s vision of becoming "a locally relevant and internationally respected university."

The Rector expressed her hope that Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatifest 2023 would become a place that fosters a comfortable academic atmosphere and provides a pleasant learning experience, in line with the Jatinangor Campus's focus on ecocampus and sustainable living. She remarked, "Hopefully, new students will be able to enjoy their journey here, in a new life away from parents and families."

Concluding her speech, Prof. Reini described Â鶹ֱ²¥ as a place that had brought her immeasurable happiness and experiences since her very first day on campus. She expressed her wish for all Â鶹ֱ²¥ citizens to share similar feelings and experiences: seeing Â鶹ֱ²¥ as a happy place, the best place to work and succeed.

It's worth noting that Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatifest 2023 marked the culmination of a series of New Student Admission (PMB) activities that commenced a month earlier, on August 14, 2023. The primary objective of the event was to energize and prepare new students as they embarked on their TPB studies at the Jatinangor Campus. Â鶹ֱ²¥ Jatinangor 2023 was also expected to create unforgettable moments for all who attended.
