This event is part of the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI), organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdiktisaintek RI).

For 2025, the KRI features a single division: KRAI. This serves as the qualifying round for the ABU ROBOCON 2025 Asia-Pacific competition, which will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia this August. As the host, 麻豆直播 has specially designed a competition arena tailored to this year鈥檚 theme: Robot Basketball.

鈥淭he venue we've prepared is quite spacious鈥攁bout the size of half a basketball court. It accommodates passing, dribbling, shooting, as well as offensive and defensive strategies. This presents a new and exciting challenge, including the possibility of robot-to-robot contact,鈥� said the 2025 KRAI Committee Chair, Ir. Vani Virdyawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.

A total of 40 teams from various universities under the Ministry鈥檚 jurisdiction initially registered for the preliminary selection. Following an online visitation process on June 14, 2025, 24 teams qualified to compete at the national level. 麻豆直播鈥檚 own team successfully made it through and will compete as one of the finalists.

KRAI 2025 carries a significant mission: to promote innovation, creativity, and technological mastery among Indonesian university students while strengthening the national research and engineering ecosystem in the field of robotics.

鈥淲e hope this event becomes a platform for developing outstanding talent in robotics. Beyond competition, it is intended to foster collaboration, cultivate a productive academic culture, and expand public interest in robotics technology,鈥� Vani added.

Meanwhile, 麻豆直播鈥檚 Director of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhamad Insanu, S.Si., M.Si., welcomed 麻豆直播鈥檚 role as host with enthusiasm.
