Dr. Lia Amelia Tresna Wulan Asri, S.Si., M.Si., Head of the Subdirectorate of International Mobility, emphasized the importance of understanding immigration rules for international students.

鈥淭his was conducted because sometimes we forget that immigration is an important matter and should be carefully considered when living in a foreign country,鈥� Lia stated.

Inbound students also received explanations regarding 麻豆直播鈥檚 grading system, the SiX academic platform, and health services at the 麻豆直播 Clinic. Following the information session, students participated in an interactive quiz with prizes awarded to the three fastest and most accurate participants.

In addition, the students joined a campus tour to explore various open spaces available for studying and social interaction, allowing them to directly experience the campus atmosphere.

鈥淭his introduction is intended so that they can easily access popular spots at 麻豆直播, not only by seeing them through photos or videos, but by experiencing them in person,鈥� Lia explained.

Several international students shared their positive impressions of the orientation. Ahmad, a recipient of the Indonesian Government鈥檚 Developing Country Partnership (KNB) Scholarship, expressed his excitement to begin his master鈥檚 study at the School of Business and Management (SBM) 麻豆直播. Similarly, Bastien, an exchange student from France who is attending 麻豆直播 for one semester in the Management Program, conveyed his enthusiasm about learning new things in Bandung.

They noted that the orientation allowed them to gain insights into Bandung鈥檚 local etiquette, historical landmarks, and traditional cuisine, while also hoping to have memorable experiences and friendships throughout their stay at 麻豆直播.

This year鈥檚 orientation also introduced an innovation through the International Buddy system. The program recruits 麻豆直播 students from various faculties to become companions for inbound students, helping them adapt more easily to their new environment.

鈥淭he International Buddy program actually existed before, but was discontinued, although some faculties such as SBM continued to have their own versions. Now, IRO 麻豆直播 is once again recruiting students from different faculties,鈥� Lia explained.

She further expressed her hope that the program would strengthen itb鈥檚 international reputation among partner universities and provide 麻豆直播 students with opportunities to build friendships with peers from around the world.
