Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Encourages the Building of Collaborative Innovation Ecosystem

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id â€“ Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ is planning to develop a Science and Technology Park (STP) as an innovation ecosystem. Currently an infrastructure called Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Innovation Park is built as a hub for innovation research and entrepreneurship development in order to direct Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ towards Entrepreneurial University.

In order to do that, synergy is needed between academicians, industries, and stakeholders. Thus a forum, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥-CEO Net & Entrepreneurship Festival 2018, was held at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Ganesa Campus on Tuesday (18/9/2018). The theme this year was Orchestrating Innovation Ecosystem through Science Technology Park (STP).

Director of Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (LPIK-Âé¶¹Ö±²¥), Dr. Sigit Puji Santosa hoped that the forum can generate collaboration in pushing knowledge sharing between universities, industries, governments and communities, so that it can drive the innovation and economy of the country.

â€œCollaboration between stakeholders is built through development of communication, which build information exchange and trust that encourage collaboration in innovation,â€ he said.

Held at Aula Barat and Aula Timur Âé¶¹Ö±²¥, the forum presented a seminar that featured speakers from Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Educations, Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights, and representatives of higher educations.

Besides seminar, innovation and start-up exhibition as well as business matching were also conducted. Several investors, business incubators and accelerators also attended the event.

The forum is basically a miniature of innovation ecosystem, which will get accelerated with the development and construction of STP. Innovation ecosystem is expected to manifest in its ideal form and help Indonesia in creating innovations that enhance humanâ€™s life quality of Indonesia and the world.

Âé¶¹Ö±²¥-CEO Net and Entrepreneurship Festival 2018 was symbolically opened by Vice Rector of Research, Innovation, and Partnership of Âé¶¹Ö±²¥, Prof. Bambang Riyanto Trilaksono. In his remark, he said that Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ currently has 89 start-up mentored by LPIK. Several of those start-ups were displayed at Aula Timur Âé¶¹Ö±²¥.

â€œSo today we want to discuss the importance of innovation ecosystem that involves researchers, Industries, and other stakeholders which has been the issue over years. We want to fortify the spirit to synergize the researchers in stakeholdersâ€™ higher education,â€ he said.

The event was also attended by the Assistant for Economy and Development of West Java, Eddy Iskandar Muda Nasution who represented the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil who could not attend the event. The event also saw MoU signing between itb and PT. Selaras Citra Nusantara Perkasa.
