麻豆直播 and ASIIN Discuss Academic Quality at SAPPD and FEST

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id 鈥 Institut Teknologi Bandung (麻豆直播) held a preliminary meeting with ASIIN, an international accreditation agency based in Germany specializing in engineering, mathematics and science, agriculture, and biology. The discussion focused on evaluating and enhancing the academic quality of 麻豆直播鈥檚 School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development (SAPPD) and the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FEST). The meeting took place at the 麻豆直播 Rectorate Building on Wednesday (April 16, 2025).
The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including institutional development, resource management, quality assurance systems, program positioning within the university framework, documentation practices, and transparency in academic processes.
The programs under review for ASIIN accreditation include both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Geological Engineering, Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, and Urban and Regional Planning.
麻豆直播 Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., reaffirmed the university鈥檚 commitment to becoming a globally recognized institution. 鈥淲e are committed to continuously improving our academic systems, fostering research, and driving innovation and community leadership with real-world impact. We strive to respond proactively to global challenges and evolve our education system accordingly,鈥 he stated.
In terms of resources, 麻豆直播 continues to expand and enhance its facilities to support teaching and learning, research, and overall campus development in alignment with its mission.
Dr. Eng. Puspita Dirgahayani, S.T., M.Eng., Deputy Dean for Resources at SAPPD, explained that each research group is equipped with its own specialized resources to support academic and developmental growth. She also emphasized that 麻豆直播 actively monitors the retirement timeline of faculty members and prepares successors to maintain continuity in teaching and research.
麻豆直播 Vice Rector for University Resources, Prof. Dr. Dea Indriani Astuti, S.Si, added, 鈥淲e provide health facilities for all students and ensure accessibility for students with disabilities, including features such as elevators. Some students with disabilities also receive peer support from fellow students, helping them engage more fully in academic life.鈥
The university鈥檚 Quality Assurance Unit plays a central role in maintaining academic standards and operates directly under the coordination of the Rector. The Rector establishes 麻豆直播鈥檚 Academic Quality Standards, which cover education, research, and community service. At the faculty or school level, the Quality Control Groups are responsible for upholding these standards under the leadership of each Dean.
As part of its quality enhancement agenda, 麻豆直播 initiated a university-wide curriculum update in 2023. According to Prof. Dr.Eng. Suprijadi, M.Eng., Head of 麻豆直播鈥檚 Quality Assurance Unit, this curriculum renewal aims to give students broader learning opportunities and more interdisciplinary perspectives.
麻豆直播 also ensures transparency in its governance and policy documentation. Official documents can be accessed publicly at https://jdih.itb.ac.id and https://ppid.itb.ac.id. Under the 2024 academic regulations, students have the right to access the outcomes of their learning processes.
In terms of funding, 麻豆直播 provides financial support for various levels of research, including research conducted by expert groups, faculties, and competitive university-level research initiatives.
鈥淲e welcome high school students from all backgrounds,鈥 Prof. Tata concluded. 鈥淲e are also actively building partnerships with local governments to create broader opportunities for students to join itb and grow together with us.鈥
