Improve Financial Accountability, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Cooperates with BPKP

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ cooperates with the Financial and Development Supervisor Agency to improve internal financial accountability. The cooperation is contained in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which signed by Rector Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Prof. Akhmaloka and Head of BPKP Prof. Mardiasmo on Thursday (08/12/11).


The cooperation includes: assisting the implementation of financial management, assisting the implementation of performance management, and also assisting the procurement of goods and services.


"The cooperation agreed so that all activities at Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ will become more accountable. We need a partner or other agencies in order to improve our performance," said Akhmaloka.


He said, in matters of financial monitoring Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ must continue to learn. Moreover, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ construction funds in next year's reached Rp. 300 Billion. "In 2013 will become greater because we plan to build campus in Jatinangor," he said.



The process of learning through collaboration is also important to remember that Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ has no specific faculty studying the financial problems. "It is an honor for the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ to be working directly with BPKP," said Akhmaloka.



So far Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ has had the rector in charge of overseeing all activities in the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥, namely the Internal Supervisory Unit. Based on the audit from government, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ has been awarded "Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian" (WTP), and the result of the predicate is excellent.

After the memorandum of understanding was signed, Head of BPKP Prof. Mardiasmo gave a brief lecture about the Internal Control System of Government (SPIP). In addition, he also spoke the pillars must be held by a stakeholder who have a great responsibility like Rector in order to not to get stuck into an undesirable situation.

"BPKP come to the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ in order to help and assist," said Mardiasmo.
