BANDUNG, itb.ac.id 鈥 Students of the Bandung Institute of Technology (麻豆直播) have once again recorded their dedication in developing technology through the Dagozilla 麻豆直播 team, which is under the auspices of the 麻豆直播 Robotics Unit. This team is preparing to face the 2025 Indonesian Wheeled Football Robot Contest (KRSBI Beroda), a prestigious event in the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) under the Indonesian Robot Competition (LRI), by presenting increasingly sophisticated robotics innovations.
Dagozilla 麻豆直播 has developed a fully autonomous wheeled soccer robot. By implementing Robot Operating System (ROS) technology which is often used in the robotics industry, the team has succeeded in creating a robot that is able to detect the ball, dribble, and kick with precision. This year, the focus of development includes the dribbler system , control optimization, and increasing the accuracy of the vision system using the YOLO ( You Only Look Once ) algorithm for real-time object detection .
The robot localization system is also continuously improved through the implementation of depth camera sensors and the development of machine learning- based software to improve the intelligence of the game strategy. "We are not here as football players, but as coaches who create a system so that robots can play automatically," said Rimba Harits Hartanto (Engineering Physics, 2022), head of the Dagozilla 麻豆直播 team when interviewed on Friday (17/1/2025).

Dagozilla is known not only as an accomplished robotics team, but also as an inclusive community that prioritizes family. Team members come from various departments at 麻豆直播, creating a rich multidisciplinary collaboration. Starting from mechanical, electrical, programming , to managerial development, all members contribute according to their expertise.
鈥淚n this team, I can apply the things I learned in college to solve real problems, especially technical skills that are relevant to my major,鈥 said Rubi Naufal Tiandito (Electrical Engineering, 2022), deputy team leader of Dagozilla 麻豆直播. Despite often facing challenges, such as limited funds and tight schedules, the collective spirit and love for robotics keep Dagozilla moving forward.
Behind the scenes, the team鈥檚 struggles are full of inspiring stories. One incident that tested their resilience was when the robot鈥檚 voltage reduction module caught fire in the middle of the night. 鈥淟uckily we had a spare. I woke up and fixed it right away,鈥 Rimba recalled.
Late-night intensive training and overnight stays in the workroom are routine before the competition. However, the team maintains balance by celebrating small successes, such as enjoying pizza together. All of this shows that behind the research and technology, there is a strong solidarity.

Dagozilla 麻豆直播 believes that robotics is a future science that is relevant in various sectors. Through the innovations they develop, this team hopes to strengthen Indonesia's position in the global robotics scene, considering that they once occupied the top 8 positions in the international RoboCup Middle Size League (MSL) competition.
As a closing message, Rimba reminded the importance of perseverance and collaboration. 鈥淩obotics is not only about technology, but also about delaying gratification to achieve greater results. It is a science that is constantly evolving, and we are proud to be part of this journey.鈥
